Adesplor helps residents, tourists, and visitors discover local places, get directions, and stay informed about what is happening around them. This page explains what information Adesplor collects, why, and how you can control or remove it.
Browsing Map & Places, reading updates, and viewing directions all work without signing up. An account is only needed for account-based actions — following a place or community, liking or commenting on a post, writing a review, and seeing your own activity in one place.
Account information: if you create an account, we store your email address, name, and a securely hashed version of your password (we never store your password in readable form).
Location: with your permission, Adesplor uses your device’s GPS location to suggest the nearest community when you first open the app and to show your position while getting directions. Adesplor does not track your location in the background or build a history of everywhere you’ve been.
Activity: if you have an account, the communities/places/organisations you follow, posts you like or comment on, and reviews you write.
Community safety: if you report a comment or review, or block another person, we store that report or block so our team can review it and so you no longer see the blocked person’s content. A report is visible to the team handling it, never shown publicly.
Suggestions: if you send us a suggestion, we keep your message so our team can read it. If you’re signed in, it’s linked to your account; if you delete your account, the suggestion stays but is no longer linked to you. Suggestions are never shown publicly.
Questions to a place: if you use “Ask the owner” on a place’s page, your message and the replies are private: only you and the people who manage that place can see them, never the public. They are deleted if you delete your account.
Notifications: if you turn on notifications, we store what’s needed to deliver them to your device (for push notifications) or nothing extra at all (for in-app notifications, which just live in your account).
We don’t sell your personal information. We don’t use your location for advertising, and we don’t track you across other apps or websites.
Adesplor uses a small number of third-party services to work: a mapping provider for maps and directions, an email provider for account and password-reset emails, and secure cloud storage for photos. Each only receives the specific information it needs to do its job (for example, the mapping provider receives coordinates to calculate a route, not your account details).
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your account, follows, comments, likes, and reviews.
Adesplor is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
